British Guardianship works with a trusted network of host families, local coordinators, certified taxi drivers, educational agents and partner schools across the UK. As an AEGIS accredited guardianship provider and BSA Certified Guardian, we set high standards for everyone who supports our students, and we provide the training, guidance and ongoing support to help you meet them.
Whether you would like to welcome an international student into your home, represent us in your local area, drive our students safely between school and their host family, or partner with us as an agent or school, you will find the role and requirements on the pages below. Applications are reviewed by our team and all roles are subject to our safeguarding checks.
Open your home and give a student a safe, welcoming place to stay during exeats, half terms and holidays. You do not need hosting experience or a large house, just a spare bedroom, a clean and secure home, and a genuine interest in young people from other cultures. In return we offer competitive hosting fees, full guidance, and 24/7 emergency assistance so you are never handling anything alone.
Become a Host Family
Be our presence on the ground: meeting students, carrying out welfare visits, staying in touch with host families and acting as the local point of contact when something needs sorting in person. A flexible role with competitive remuneration, ideal for organised, reliable people with strong communication skills, good local knowledge and access to transport.
Become a Local Coordinator
Provide safe, professional transport for our students, from airport transfers to school runs. You will need a valid Private Hire or Taxi Driver Licence, appropriate insurance and vehicle documentation, and a punctual, reliable approach to working with young people. We offer regular transfer opportunities, prompt payments and support from our operations team.
